Using Your Vanilla Bean Paste
Vanilla Bean Paste is a great alternative to vanilla extract! It uses the entire vanilla bean and is loaded with tons of vanilla caviar and flavor. You can easily use a 1:1 substitute, or measure with your heart. Here are some everyday food items that you can consider using your paste in:
Add some to your favorite milk and give it a vigorous shake to create your own vanilla milk!
For the experienced cook, consider making an amazing custard
Your morning oatmeal will never be the same, a tiny bit goes a long way
Add a touch of vanilla paste to your smoothies for added flavor
Sugar cookies would be a great canvas for your vanilla bean paste to shine
For the cook looking for everyday uses, consider using it in pancakes, french toast, quick breads like zucchini or banana bread, cake, or chocolate chip cookies
Mix in some vanilla bean paste with your favorite yogurt or cream cheese for a special treat
Vanilla bean paste is a wonderful compliment to caramel
Try it in some Homemade Whipped Cream! Try my recipe below!
2 cups of Heavy Whipping Cream
1/2 cup of powdered sugar
1/2 tsp of vanilla bean paste
Add all of your ingredients to a mixing bowl . Using a whisk attachment, mix ingredients on high until mixture just starts to become thick. Turn the mixer off and give it a taste! It's important to taste it at this point to add more powdered sugar or vanilla so that you don't overwhip your cream at the later stage and end up with butter! Add more vanilla or powdered sugar here if you would like. Turn the mixer on high and whip until thick and fluffy, and will hold its own shape without falling.
Happy baking!
